Fish Arizona

I moved here 10 years ago from Virginia.  I grew up fishing every Saturday with my dad and granddad in the Chesapeake bay.  After serving in the USAF,  I returned to my hometown in 1998.  I was right back on the water, rod in hand.  Then, in 2001, my wife and I decided to move to Phoenix Arizona.  I said goodbye to fishing and hello to golf.  When I looked at a map of Arizona I only saw a land locked state with no water.

Then for fathers day 2006 my wife gave me the greatest gift a guy could get.  An all day bass fishing trip with a retired pro bass angler that worked part time at her work.  I had no idea what was about to happen.  I struggled at first with the baitcaster reel.  Then it happened, as soon as my popper hit the water an explosion, it was game on!  From that moment on I was hooked.

I bought a Skeeter, got some rods, bought some tackle, and hit the lakes.  I quickly learned that this was not going to be so easy.  You had to hunt these bass down, find their home, show them some food, and pray they took the bait.

There were different rods, reels, baits, techniques, and a billion other different things you needed to learn.  Different lakes, different reactions, it is very complicated.  That is the reason for this site.  I hope to help you in your quest for that trophy bass.
